The first race of the day saw Yogaroo take up the early lead but he faded badly after clashing with favourite Monsieur Chevalier which knocked both out of the running. It was Radiohead who stormed down the inside to steal the win ahead of Reignier.

It was the Godolphin horse Flying Cloud who took up the lead heading into the straight and she never looked back and she won going away from Flame of Gibralter and Uvinza.

This race was the day that Yeats wrote his name into the record books as he won his 4th consecutive Ascot Gold Cup. He kicked as they entered the straight and he never looked back, Patkai ran well as he tried to pull him in with everyone else no where.

This was a blanket finish with four horses involved in a photo finish for what turned out to be an exciting race. It was Fareer that got up on the inside to nick it ahead of Secret Society.

The race saw Freemantle hit the front as they came onto the straight but he faded badly to leave Glass Harmonium take up the lead. Cashelgar chased him all the way but was unable to get up to leave Glass Harmonium with the victory.

The last race of the day saw a tight finish with three in contention in the last furlong. It was Cosmic Sun who burst through the middle to take the win with Chiberta King and Barwell Bridge fighting it out for 2nd.
