The opening race of the day was an exciting one with the sprinters spread all across the track. It was Habaayib who travelled the best and when he kicked for home he ran away from the favourite Lillie Langtry who also ran well.

They were all tightly bunched as they headed onto the straight but it was Father Time who was the first to make a bolt for home. No one was able to chatch father Time with the favourite South Easter fading behind Your Old Pal and Black Bear Island.

The highlight race of the day was all aboout Ghanaati who simply blew the field away to win in a record time. Reggane ran on well and Rainbow View finished like a train to get 3rd.

This was another course record as Perfect Stride and Moonquake went toe-to-toe in the final couple of furlongs. It was Perfect Stride that just got up to nick it with Salute Him finishing really well to get 3rd place.

It was Frankie Dettori onboard Mastery who took the lead in the home straight and he looked like he was in with a chance until Holberg got a run on the inside to storm clear in a course record time. Yankee Doodle finished strongly as well to finish 2nd.

The last race of the day was looking like a tight affair until Giganticus jumped out of the pack in the final furlong to win by a comfortable distance with the field tailing in his wake.
