The Chesham was won by outsider Big Audio making it a great week for Richard Hughes and trainer Richard Hannon. He came from well off the pace and while he rolled around in the final hundred yards he just held on by a nose from the joint favourite Emperor Claudius.

Frankie was very confident before the race on the favourite and he looked for all money to have won the race coming into the straight as he went clear on Campanologist but the John Gosden trained Bronze Cannon came out of the pack to take the favourite in the last 1000 yards.

The went off to quickly with the favourite dying in the last furlong and the all came from the back with Art Connoisseur coming from the back to win on the rail.

High Standing has performed all season and was a very good ante post plunge which looked to have gone wrong when everyone thought he was drawn on the wrong side of the track, but the better grond on day 5 worked for the winner. Ryan Moore earned his fee here as he lifted home the winner High Standing as quicked up very well in the final 200 yards.

A typical Mark Johnston race where his horses excel at this distance and he had the first two home here as they fought it out amongst themselves in the final furlong.

They deserted the winner in favour of stablemate Tasheba but ultimately it was 12 year old Caracciola showed no sign of his age by sprinting away in the final 2furlongs to win well
