The Coronation Stakes is a chance for the top 3 year old fillies to come out and play as they take centre stage on day 4 of the 2009 Royal Ascot Meeting. The fillies rarely disappoint and 2009 is set to be no different so we are bringing you all the latest news form the race as well as an updated odds comparison for the race and a form guide for the top contenders right here. 1000 Guineas runner-up Cuis Ghaire has been ruled out of the Coronation Stakes after having a setback in training which means the filly will miss the rematch with Ghanaati.

The Coronation Stakes is a chance for the fillies to come out and play and the 1000 Guineas winner Ghanaati is expected to go here and looks to have a real chance. That win is enough to earn her real respect here but the race is expected to be packed with top contenders. Elusive Wave looks a top class horse and may well go in the Coronation Stakes after a good win at Longchamp in May over the 1 mile distance. Also in the race at Longchamp was Fantasia who came in a solid 3rd place and she may well be targeted for Ascot following that run. Irish 1000 Guineas winner Again is another likely to go here after deciding to skip the Oaks at Epsom and she is one to watch over this distance following her win at The Curragh.
We have a full guide on the Coronation Stakes which includes details of the race as well as information on past winners and tip buts. Head to our Coronation Stakes Guide to get the full lo-down on the big race.
