The Thursday of Royal Ascot is Ladies Day and despite it being another day of fantastic racing action, the horses play second fiddle to the glitz, glamour and sophistication of the ladies in attendance.
Ladies Day is all about the girls, namely fahsion! A colourful array of outfits and hats creatie one of the most sophisticated and elegant events of the summer. This is the feature day of the meeting and always attracts the biggest crowd of the week as the ladies come out to play (and drink Champagne!)

Formal dress is the order of the day on each day of Royal Ascot, but more so on Ladies Day than any of the other four days. Both Ladies and Gentlemen are encouraged to wear their finest attire and remain sophisticated and glamerous in the process. Hats and Dresses are the most popular outfit amongst women with the style and colour upto the individual but be warned - there are some big hats, very bold colours and some very glamerous shoes to be seen on the Racecourse on Ladies day. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear morning suits if attending in the Royal enclosure, otherwise formal attire will suffice.
