The Prince of Wales Stakes is the highlight on Day two of the 2009 Royal Ascot meeting. It is a Group One race that is run over 1m 2f and is open to thoroughbreds aged four years and over. Final declarations have been made for the race and a field of seven will assemble on Wednesday with Tartan Bearer likely to be the favourite.

Tartan Bearer is a horse trained by Sir Michael Stoute who has some great past form including a second in the 2008 Derby behind New Approach so is always one to be considered in any company.
Another French horse Never On Sunday is another with an entry who should go close if on form. He won last time out at Longchamp in May and looks ideally suited for the Prince of Wales.
