The Windsor Forest Stakes was only introduced to the line up of Royal Ascot Races in 2004 and is open to fillies only that are aged four years old and above over a distance of 1 mile. Its Group Two status and £140,000 in prize month is intended to incentivise the best fillies to stay in training after their three year old campaigns, after which many are retired for breeding.
