Royal Ascot Trainers
There is little doubt that the seasonal aim of most flat race trainers is to have winners at the Royal Ascot meeting. For many trainers the meeting offers a huge shop window and success here most certainly breeds more success.
With so many Group races in a five day span, it is generally the higher profile trainers who tend to take the honours, but there is no one trainer who is guaranteed to dominate proceedings.
Obvious names are Sir Michael Stoute, who will be very strongly represented as will Aidan O'Brien who will be looking for more Group One winners to add to his collection. John Gosden, Michael Bell and Richard Hannon are just a handful of others who will be very competitive at the meeting.
Trainers not so well known outside of racing who also have good records at Ascot are Mark Johnston, who rarely leaves the Berkshire course without at least one winner.
